Ann Weiss

Executive Function & Instructional Coach | Brain Health Educator | College Transition Specialist

Meet Ann Weiss (Ms. Weiss)—a seasoned Upper School learning specialist, executive function coach, instructional coach, and licensed brain health educator committed to helping high school and college students thrive academically and emotionally. With decades of experience in education, Ann brings a deep understanding of how to guide students through high school and the critical transition to college.

Ann is a licensed Brain Health Trainer through Dr. Daniel Amen’s Institute, a Trauma and Resilience Specialist certified through Starr Commonwealth, and a Lifestyle and Wellness Coach certified by Harvard Medical School. She is also a certified Executive Function Coach, blending neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and academic coaching to equip students with the tools they need to succeed.

After having countless conversations with friends and fellow parents of college-aged kids, Ann noticed a persistent misconception: that turning 18 somehow means a student is fully ready to manage college life on their own. In reality, many students arrive on campus underprepared for the level of independence, structure, and self-regulation that’s suddenly required of them. The shift from a fully scheduled high school day to a college schedule with just one or two classes a day can create confusion, procrastination, and overwhelm. It’s what inspired Ann to extend her work beyond high school, offering continued coaching through a student’s first year of college when support is most crucial and growth is most possible.

In her private practice, Ann partners with high school students and college freshmen to develop essential life and learning skills—including time management, organization, study habits, self-advocacy, and stress regulation. Her coaching is personalized, strength-based, and grounded in the belief that every student has the potential to grow, adapt, and thrive.

Ann is dedicated to building confident, capable learners—one habit, one strategy, and one success at a time.
